Engine light came on, ended up getting it fixed last week
So the check engine light popped up on my 320i about two weeks ago and I'll be honest, I panicked a bit because the car went into limp mode on the E11 which was not fun at all. I didn't want to just clear the code and hope for the best, so I started reading around and found https://bmw-garage.ae/engine-repair/ while searching for someone who actually specialises in these engines rather than a generic garage that guesses. Long story short, they diagnosed a failing ignition coil and a couple of other small things I hadn't even noticed, and the bill was way less painful than the dealer quote I got on the phone. The car feels smooth again and no lights so far, fingers crossed. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is sitting on a warning light wondering whether to wait it out, because I'm glad I didn't.
