What are the main components shown in a warehouse architecture?

Typically a data warehouse diagram has data sources, data extraction processes, staging, transformation, storage, and reporting layers. It can also contain data lakes, APIs, business intelligence tools or data governance elements, depending on the project. The goal does not only have to be to make a technical picture, it has to convey the information from its source to the audience. If I'm looking at an architecture, I would make sure that I can see what the dependencies are and what the data flows are. This will greatly facilitate discussions with engineers, analysts and stakeholders.
